So you may have a great website but if you have no idea who your visitors are, where they are coming from, which pages they are visiting or when they are leaving your site you can be wasting your efforts on targeting the wrong type of visitor.
You need to know the answers to these and many other important questions in order to be able to optimize your website and actually make it effective. That's where Google Analytics comes into play!
Google Analytics is a completely free tool that helps you gather vital information about your website visitors.
How to setup your Google Analytics Account
Click on the Analytics tab and you will be sent to a new page, where you will need to click on the blue Get Started for Free button.
Once you begin the sign up process you will be given the three steps needed to complete your account.
Step 1: Sign up for Google Analytics
Here you need to enter in the appropriate information related to your website.
After this step, click on the blue "Get Tracking ID" button at the bottom of the page.
Step 2: Adding the tracking code to your LiveBuyers Website
Once you agree to the terms and conditions, you will arrive at the next page where you will need to click on the "tracking code" option. On the Admin tab, you need to go to the ACCOUNT column and choose your account from the drop-down menu. After that, go to the PROPERTY column, choose a property from the drop-down menu and go to Tracking Info > Tracking Code.
Normally, you would need to add this tracking code to every single one of your website pages.
With LiveBuyers, you will only have to add this code snippet one time.
Step 3: Log in to your LiveBuyers website Dashboard
Visit your LiveBuyers agent website, and in the top right corner you will see a button that says sign in.
Step 4: Adding the code into your website
Once signed in, under the "Settings" Option on the left hand side you will see a menu item entitled "Insert Headers and Footers".
Now, you will take your code snippet from Google and paste it into the "Scripts in Header" section.
Step 5: Save your changes
Save your changes, and you're all done! Visitor data will be tracked into Google moving forward. Check back after 24-48 hours and you will be able to see new data logged into Google Analytics.
